Nora is Not a Cat follows the comical, never dull antics of Nora, my calico kitten. Throughout the book we see Nora wrestle with her feline identity. One day she may be a spy, sneaking quietly around the house. The next day she may decide to be a fluffy land cloud, floating atop the couch. As hard as she tries to be anything else, she will always be a funny little cat.

The cover features an illustrated image of Nora herself. Paired with a playfully hand lettered title and author acknowledgment. A soft, muted palette of blues were chosen to compliment Nora's diluted calico tones respectively. The front and back covers both feature a repeating pattern of two of her favorite things—mice and fish. A short excerpt from the book is featured on the back to entice the reader into finding out who, or what, Nora will be today.
